This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to investigate and register the F.I.R. and acquire the cheated amount in CSR No.397 of 2022.

The petitioner's grievance is that he had lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 29.08.2022 stating that an amount of Rs.45,697.50 has been debited from his Citi Bank Credit Card on 19.08.2022. This amount has not been authorised or transacted by the petitioner. The respondent Police though received the complaint and issued C.S.R. No.397 of 2022, thereafter they failed to take any action.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that on the complaint of the petitioner initially C.S.R. assigned. Later a case in Crime No.31 of 2023 for offence under Section 420 r/w 66C & D of Information Technology Act was registered and investigation is in progress. The registration of F.I.R. has been informed to the petitioner.

4. In view of the above submission, nothing survives in this Criminal Original Petition and the same is dismissed.
