ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2022, requesting for release of her pending salary, which according to the petitioner is due from May 2022 onwards, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, she was appointed as Sub-Inspector of Police on 15.04.2004 and promoted as Inspector of Police on 21.09.2021. She was posted as Inspector of Police (All Women Police Station), Erode. Thereafter, she was transferred to Chennai on her request, by order dated 23.06.2022. However, according to the petitioner, ever-since from May 2022, her salary has not been paid. In such circumstances, she has given the aforementioned representation, dated 10.08.2022 and since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.
3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's 2 / 4
representation dated 10.08.2022 requesting for payment of her salary from May 2022 onwards, is considered on merits and in accordance with law, by the respondents, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Hence, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation, dated 10.08.2022 requesting for payment of her salary from May 2022 onwards, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
