All the defendants have jointly presented this application to condone the delay of 221 days in filing the written statement with a counter claim of the first defendant and the adoption thereof by the other defendants.
2. In the affidavit in support of this application, it is stated that the delay has occurred on account of the demise of the counsel formerly engaged by the defendants. The said reason constitutes sufficient cause. Therefore, this application is allowed as prayed for. The Registry is directed to receive the written statement from the defendants.
