O R D E R

The criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records relating to C.C.No.523 of 2017 on the file of the VII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, George Town, Chennai and quash the same.

2. The petitioner is the respondent in a private complaint filed by the respondent for offences under Sections 499 r/w 500 IPC, which is pending trial in C.C.No.523 of 2017. It is the case of defamation. Now, both the petitioner and the respondent have resolved the issue. The petitioner had expressed her regret and the respondent/complainant also accepted the same.

3. Today, both of them present and enquired by this Court. Both of them confirm that the issue has been resolved between them and further undertake that this compromise will not be used in any other proceedings hereinafter.

4. Recording the same, the criminal original petition stands allowed and the proceedings in C.C.No.523 of 2017 pending on the file of the VII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Chennai is quashed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
