ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 01.07.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 465, 466, 468, 471, 1/4

420, 120(b) r/w 34 of I.P.C. and Section 43 of Information Technology Act, 2000 in connection with CCB Crime No.97 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2.The petitioner, a contract worker engaged by the Transport Department alleged to have manipulated the software enabling the vehicles, which are not BS-IV vehicles, as if they were registered prior to the cut off date of banned registration of BS-IV vehicles. The investigation has disclosed that this petitioner along with some of the staff in the RTO office had indulged in the said crime and it is suspected that around 359 vehicles been falsely registered by manipulating this software.

3. The learned counsel for petitioner submitted that he was misled by the staff of the RTO office and those staff now been granted anticipatory bail. 4.Considering the gravity of the offence and the stage of investigation, this petition for bail stands dismissed for the present. 21.08.2025 rsi 2/4
