The petitioners seek anticipatory bail in Crime No.337 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 24(1) of Cigarette and other Tobacco Products Acts, 2003 and Section 328 and 279 of IPC .

2. It is stated that the petitioners were found in possession of 440 kgs of banned tobacco products in a vehicle bearing Regn.No.TN21-BA-1830.

3. In view of the nature of the contraband seized and the fact that there is every possibility that the second petitioner would abscond, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
