The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the Respondents to consider the representation dated 02.03.2017 made by the members of the Petitioner and extend their service for the further period till the expiry of the Poorna Shakti Kendra Scheme under Puducherry State Resource Centre for Women. 2.

Learned Government Advocate appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, states that the relevant scheme for which continuance of employment is pursued is no longer in existence. That apart, in view of the ruling of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Mahinder Kumar Gupta -vs- Union of India [(1995) 1 SCC 85] that an Association cannot file a Writ Petition seeking relief espousing the cause of its individual members and does not affect any legal right of that Association, this Writ Petition at the instance of an Association cannot be entertained.
