The petitioners/A1 & A2 who were arrested and remanded to custody on 22.07.2023 for the offences registered under Sections294(b), 302, 498A and subsequently altered to Sections 114, 120B, 294(b), 302, 342, 364, 498A of IPC, in Crime No.606 of 2023, seek bail. 2.It is stated that the daughter of the defacto complainant was murdered by A1. The overt act as against A2 is that he was also present at the scene of occurrence. Both the petitioners had taken the deceased to a separate place and cut the throat of the deceased. The motive was that A1 was a married person and had further relationship with the deceased who went over to her parents house and that the accused persons had called her and committed the murder.

3.Taking into consideration the gruesome nature of the offence, at this stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. If the prime witness/defacto complainant is examined, there could be a further consideration of grant of bail to the petitioner. 4.Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 03.11.2023 vkr 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
