This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner wherein the petitioner is seeking for correction of the date of death of the petitioner's sister as 24.08.2004 instead of 24.07.2004.

2. Heard Mr.A.Arun Kumar, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.G.Velu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader produced the written instructions given by the second respondent along with the relevant documents. It is seen that the second respondent has relied upon the death report received from the concerned authority and incorporated the date. In any case, the representation given by the petitioner has been received and hence, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to convey the decision to the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
