ORDER

Aggrieved by the fact that an appeal preferred by their power agent before the first respondent on 17.7.2023 is yet to be taken up and orders passed, the petitioners are before this Court seeking a Mandamus to the first respondent to dispose of their appeal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate accepting notice for the first respondent.

3. The appeal in question has been filed challenging the order refusing to cancel the patta issued to the second respondent. The first respondent has not even issued notice in the above matter nor called the parties for inquiry.

4. Considering the above facts, the writ petition is allowed and a Mandamus is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the power of attorney of the petitioners dated 17.7.2023 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
