The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2022 sent for rectifying the mistake occurred during UDR scheme in respect of the petitioner's land measuring 0.39 acres, 2.60 acres and 0.65 acres in S.f.Nos. 277/1,277/2 and 277/3 admeasuring 364 acres situated at Kolatti Village, Denkanikottai Taluk,Krishnagiri District in accordance with law and pass orders.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second Respondent to dispose of petitioner's application dated 17.10.2022 for UDR patta corrections.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner inherited the subject property from his father and he was in possession and enjoyment of the same. Whileso the revenue officials entered the name of the name of the second and third respondents herein as joint pattadhar in respect of the subject property Hence the petitioner gave a representation on 17.10.2022 to the first respondent to rectify the said error. However the same was not considered. Hence this petition.

3. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondents notice to private respondents dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if this Court issues a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.10.2022 in terms of 2/4

G.O.Ms.No.385 of 2004 Revenue Department dated 17.08.2004 within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. In view of the above, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation dated 17.10.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the petitioner as well as counter parties if any within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
