This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that on the complaint given by one Vishalachi, the petitioners are being called up for enquiry by the second respondent police. It is further submitted that the first petitioner has also lodged a complaint on 08.11.2022 against the said Vishalachi. The second respondent police without registering a case against the said person, is harassing the petitioners. 4.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that on the complaint given by one Vishalachi, current paper enquiry has been initiated in C.S.R.No.514 of 2/4

2022. He further submitted that the petitioners are named accused and only for the purpose of enquiry, they are being called up that can not be said as harassment.

Since the petitioners are named accused, they are bound to co-operate with the second respondent police for enquiry. However, the second respondent police is directed to complete the enquiry in C.S.R.No.514 of 2022 in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.

With these observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
