Mr.Venkataseshaiya, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith give 5 H.P Agricultural Electricity service connection to the petitioner's well in Survey No.96/2E, Ponnanguppam Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, based on the sanction letter dated 16.08.2022 of the second respondent.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner made application seeking grant of Agricultural Electricity service connection to the petitioner's well in Survey No.96/2E, Ponnanguppam Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District and the second respondent vide letter dated 16.08.2022 informed the petitioner that his application for 2/4
free electricity service connection has been sanctioned, however, Agricultural Electricity service connection has not yet been given to the petitioner's well. Hence, this writ petition. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that without going into the merits of the case, this Court may issue direction to the respondents to implement the letter of the second respondent dated 16.08.2022, within a reasonable time frame. 5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to implement the letter of the second respondent dated 16.08.2022, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment.
