Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to pay the monthly amount under the Employee Retirement Benefit Scheme from the month of July 2016 with interest at 18% per annum and continue to pay the same every month thereafter.

ORDER

This writ petition had been filed to direct the respondent herein to pay the monthly amount under the Employee Retirement Benefit Scheme from the month of July 2016 with interest at 18% per annum and continue to pay the same every month thereafter.

2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the Employee Retirement Benefit Scheme was closed w.e.f. 04.01.2018 and the contributions recovered by the employees are refunded. As far as the writ petitioner is concerned, he paid a sum of Rs.30,700/- out of which Rs 12,000/- had been paid. So the balance A amount is yet to be paid to the writ petitioner. In view of the facts now established, the respondent is directed to settle the balance amount due to the writ petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
