1/3 Application No.5566 of 2023 S.VAIDYANATHAN,J.

This application is filed to direct the respondent - AG & OT to repossess the land situated at D.No.21, Perianna Mudali Street, Seven Wells, Chennai - 600 001, to the applicant and permit him to pay the arrears of rent in instalments.

2. AG & OT would submit that an amount of more than Rs.7.00 lakhs is due from the applicant and that without payment of arrears putting the petitioner back in the land mentioned supra is not permissible.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The fact remains that arrears of rent have not been paid by the applicant. Applicant agreed to pay the same in monthly instalments. Accordingly, the applicant is directed to pay the arrears of rent in three equated monthly instalments, commencing from 15.11.2023. After payment of arrears, it is open for the applicant to make necessary application and, at that stage, it is for AG & OT to consider the request of the applicant in accordance with law.
