This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 05.09.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, who is the Dharmakartha of the temple namely "Kollarani and Vasakottai Amman Kovil, Ottarpalayam has given a complaint by alleging that on 26.08.2022, after worship in the said temple, he left to his house and thereafter, one Kamalakannan and Rajan came to the temple and locked it; when the same was questioned by one Murugesh, who is working as Poosari in the said temple, the said persons abused him in filthy language and criminally intimidated him.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the complaint has been 2/5

given as early as on 05.09.2022, so far no action has been taken by the respondent police.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, current paper enquiry has been initiated in CSR No.188 of 2022 and it was closed on 14.09.2022 and in this regard, R.D.O enquiry is pending.

6. Inview of the above submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), after obtaining the report of the Revenue Divisional Officer, the respondent police is required to take further action in accordance with law.

7. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
