ORDER

The petitioner seeks police protection on the ground that he is a tenant and the respondent police is interfering.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on instructions submitted that the dispute is between the tenant and landlord and they are not preventing the petitioner from enjoying the property. Such statement is recorded. Whereas, the learned counsel for the respondents 3 and 4/landlords submitted that there are rental arrears of Rs.13 lakhs payable by the petitioner.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

4. In such view of the matter, as the police is not interfering into the dispute, this Court is of the view that police protection is not at all required. It is for the respondents 3 and 4 to work out their remedy for eviction of the petitioner as per law.

5. Accordingly, this petition stands dismissed. No costs.
