O R D E R

The Civil Revision Petition is filed challenging the order passed by the Additional Mahila Court, Egmore, Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.1073 of 2022 made in D.V.C.No.64 of 2021, dated 25.04.2025 directing the petitioner/husband to pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- as interim maintenance to the respondent/wife.

Against the impugned order passed by the Additional Mahila Court, the petitioner has remedy of appeal under Section 29 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this civil revision revision.

3. Accordingly, the Civil Revision Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal before the jurisdictional Sessions Court. It is made clear that the petitioner is entitled to exclude the time taken by him for prosecuting the revision before this Court (i.e., from 18.08.2025 till the date of receipt of copy of this order), while calculating the limitation for filing the appeal before the Sessions Court. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petitions are closed.
