ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.226 of 2021 and file a charge sheet within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that eventhough the petitioner has given a complaint as early as in 2020 itself and an FIR has been registered as per the direction of the Judicial Magistrate, Kodumudi on 29.07.2021, so far charge sheet has not been filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that after completion of investigation, a final report has been filed as "Mistake of Fact" before the Judicial Magistrate, Erode and the copy of referred charge sheet is yet to be served to the petitioner.

5. Considering the same, the 2nd respondent police is directed to serve a notice about the referred charge sheet to the petitioner and on receipt of the same, the petitioner is at liberty either to accept the same or to file a protest petition or initiate appropriate proceedings under Section 156(3) or 200 Cr.P.C., in accordance with law.

6. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
