ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to cancel the Patta issued solely in the name of the petitioner's brother Mr.Kumar as the same was done without the petitioners consent.

2. Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the subject property is ancestral property, for which, the petitioner is also entitled. Without considering the said aspect, the patta was issued 2/6

by the respondents solely in the name of the petitioner's brother Mr.Kumar. The said patta was issued without any notice. Hence, a representation was filed by the petitioner on 30.06.2025 to cancel the said patta. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the 3rd respondent till date. Hence, this writ petition.

5. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would request this Court to pass appropriate orders directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

7. In the case on hand, the patta, pertaining to the subject property, was issued solely in the name of the petitioner's brother Mr.Kumar, without the consent of the petitioner. Hence, a representation was filed 3/6

by the petitioner on 30.06.2025 to cancel the said patta. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the 3rd respondent till date.

8. In view of the above, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.06.2025 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

9. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
