PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the proceeding in pro.no.A2/3410/2019 dated 08.06.2019 on the file of the respondent herein, quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to reinstate the petitioner in service forthwith within a time limit specified by this Court.

ORDER

With the consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to quash the proceedings dated 08.06.2019 passed by the respondent and to direct the respondent to reinstate the petitioner in service forthwith.

3. Though the petitioner had sought for quashing of the order of punishment, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he would be satisfied if the petitioner's representation is considered within a stipulated time.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.06.2023, pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the claim made by 2/4

the petitioner and that it is open to the respondent to consider the same on its own merits.
