The Government of Tamil Nadu represented by its Secretary Department of Highways & Minor Port Fort St. George Chennai 600 009 Respondents Writ Petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records of the first respondent in connection with the identical proceedings bearing reference letter nos. ITEL/HR/639/2023 dated 27.09.2023 of 1st petitioner, ITEL/HR/642/2023 dated 27.09.2023 of the 2nd petitioner, ITEL/HR/640/2023 dated 27.09.2023 of the 3rd petitioner, ITEL/HR/643/2023 dated 27.09.2023 of 4th petitioner, ITEL/HR/644/2023 dated 27.09.2023 of 5th petitioner and ITEL/HR/641/2023 dated 27.09.2023 of 6th petitioner issued to the respective petitioners and quash the same and direct the respondents or in any event, the 3rd respondent Government of Tamil Nadu, to ensure continued employment of the petitioners in any of its Corporations or Departments in the event of the respondents 1 and 2 are not able to do so.

ORDER

(made by S. VAIDYANATHAN, J.) This writ petition was listed before a Single Bench on 13.10.2023, on which date, the following order was passed.

"It is represented by the learned counsels on both side that the connected W.A.No.2763/2023 is pending before the Division Bench of this Court (Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.Vaidynathan and Hon'ble Mr. Justice K.Rajasekar) and this matter may also be placed before the said Bench. 2.

Registry is directed place it before the Hon'ble Chief Justice for getting necessary orders in this regard." In pursuance of the above order passed by the Single Bench, this matter was placed by the Registry before the Hon'ble Chief Justice, as per whose orders, this matter is listed today before this Bench. This Bench, vide order dated 16.10.2023, disposed of a writ appeal being W.A. No.2763 of 2023 preferred by the petitioners herein, in view of which, even according to the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. In such perspective of the matter, this writ petition stands closed, sans costs. Connected W.M.P. stands closed.
