ORDER

(1)Mrs.C.Meera Arumugam, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent. M/s.S.Indhubala, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 2 and 3. With the consent of the learned counsels on either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

(2)The writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to conduct an enquiry with regard to the construction of the new bus shelter in front of the petitioner's shop No.81, ECR Road, Pudupattinam Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, and further directing the respondents 2 and 3 to construct

the bus shelter at the existing place of the 3rd respondent panchayat, in pursuant to petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2025. (3)The petitioner states that she owns a shop bearing No.81, Ward No.1, ECR Road, Pudupattinam Village, Chengalpattu Taluk. The petitioner states that she purchased the property under a registered Sale Deed dated 26.06.2021 and rented the said shop. The petitioner states that the 3 rd respondent Panchayat Union had a bus shelter 500m away from the petitioner's shop in front of Door No.501. While so, the 3 rd respondent proposed to construct a new bus shelter by demolishing the old bus shelter.

The petitioner states that, the 3 rd respondent, demolished the existing bus shelter and instead of constructing the same in the existing place, started constructing the new bus shelter in front of the petitioner's shop. The petitioner therefore submitted a representation on 16.08.2025, to the respondents to stop the construction work of the new bus shelter in front of her shop and to construct the same at the existing place. Since there was no response to the petitioner's representation, the petitioner filed the present writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

(4)Heard the learned counsels on either side and also perused the materials placed on record.

(5)In view of the facts and circumstances of the case and the prayer sought for in the writ petition, a direction is issued to the 2 nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2025, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
