For Petitioner : Mr.T.V.G.Kartheeban in all WPs For Respondents : Mr.A.Selvendran Special Government Pleader in all WPs COMMON ORDER The petitioners herein seek a direction to the second respondent to consider their reply representations dated 17.02.2024 regarding the proceedings initiated against them for cancellation of patta based on the complaint made by the third respondent.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as respondents 1 & 2, these writ petitions are disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioners that based on their long possession and enjoyment of land situated in Jandavaratti Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, assignment patta was granted in favour of the petitioners under Form-IV. The third respondent herein, without any basis, submitted a representation to the second respondent seeking cancellation of the assignment patta issued in the name of the petitioners. of patta by issuing notice to the petitioners. Hence, the petitioners submitted reply representations to the second respondent on 17.02.2024 objecting to the cancellation proceedings initiated by the second respondent and the same have not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the reply representations of the petitioners dated 17.02.2024 would be considered on merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the reply representations of the petitioners dated 17.02.2024 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to the petitioners as well as the third respondent and any other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
