This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 29.04.2022 within the time limit as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint against one Murugan by alleging that the said Murugan attacked her husband Kannan; despite the complaint has been given as early as on 29.04.2022, so far no action has been taken by the 2nd respondent.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, current paper enquiry has been initiated in CSR No.55 of 2022 and the enquiry is pending. 2/4

5. It is to be noted that the complaint has been given as early as on 29.04.2022 and the petitioner has attached the medical documents also along with the complaint. In such case, the respondent ought to have expedite the enquiry and do the needful in accordance with law. Since the delay is unnecessary, the 2nd respondent police is directed to complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and do the needful in accordance with law.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
