O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner against the order passed by the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 26.04.2024 within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.The petitioner was working as Block Development Officer and departmental proceedings were initiated against him which ended in a punishment of stoppage of increment for the period of three years without cumulative effect imposed by the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 26.04.2024. The petitioner aggrieved by the same, filed an appeal before the 1st respondent on 26.06.2024. Since, the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a 2/4

direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner on 26.06.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and final orders shall be passed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
