This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 03.10.2022 pending in CSR No.267 of 2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had given a complaint against one Kuppusamy on the allegation that he had picked up a quarrel with the petitioner and abused him in filthy language.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the complaint has been given on 03.10.2022, so far no action has been taken by the respondent police.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, current paper enquiry has been initiated in CSR No.267 of 2022 and it was closed on 05.10.2022 on the 2/4

alleged undertaking given by the petitioner that the matter does not require further investigation.

6. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner denies such an endorsement made by him. If the petitioner has got any grievance about the closure report, he is at liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings under Section 156(3) or 200 Cr.P.C.

7. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
