This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent police not to harass the petitioners without due process of law.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have engaged in the small scale business in hand made sweet candies at Madurai; the 2nd respondent, all of a sudden came to the business premises of the petitioners and harass them as though some complaints have been pending against them.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that on the complaint given by one Mani, an FIR has been registered in Crime No.311 of 2022; eventhough these petitioners are not named in the said case, for the purpose of an enquiry the 2nd respondent would have enquired them; however, the enquiry revealed that the petitioners are not needed for 2/4

further investigation in this regard.

5. So considering the same and recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
