Mr.J.C.Durairaj, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the R1 and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.
2. The petitioner claims to have completed her Masters in Computer Science in R2 college between 2015-2020. Prior thereto, she had studied in R4 school completing her Secondary school studies in the year 2012. She claims that at the time of joining the school, she had submitted necessary certificates to the school that had been returned to her upon completion of her schooling. According to her, the transfer certificate and the mark sheet issued by R2 to R4 contains a mistake in the birth date.
3. She states that her date of birth is 28.09.1996 that was printed mistakenly as 28.05.1997 in the school and college certificates by R2 to R4. She had approached the schools/college to rectify the said mistake. Since there had been no response, a representation dated 14.04.2023 had come to be filed before the Directorate of School Education (arrayed as R1) corrected to read as 'The Director, The Directorate of School Education, DPI Complex, Chennai - 600 006'. 2 / 4
4. Vide proceedings dated X/K/No.020013/M/E3/2023, dated 15.05.2023, the representation of the petitioner has been referred to the attention of the school, which has still not taken necessary measures to rectify the date. Hence the present Writ Petition.
5. Mr.Durairaj would assure the Court that R1 would take the matter up for resolution immediately.

In light of the said assurance, no notice is thought necessary to R2 to R4 now, as R1 would, while disposing the representation of the petitioner dated 14.04.2023, hear not only the petitioner, but also R2 to R4 by issuing notice to them. Let notice be issued to the petitioner as well as to R2 to R4 within a period of two (2) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. R1, will hear the petitioner and the representatives of R2 to R4, and verify/compare the original certificates as well as the certificates issued by R2 to R4. Assuming that mistakes have been made by R2 to R4 as alleged by the petitioner, R1 will thereafter issue necessary instructions to R2 to R4 to cause necessary amendments in the certificates already issued by them and re-issue any certificate containing an incorrect date of birth of the petitioner after correcting the same and such exercise shall be completed within a period of two (2) weeks from date of first hearing.

8. Thereafter, R2 to R4 shall issue fresh certificates to the petitioner after making necessary amendments/changes in the certificates already issued within a period of four (4) weeks from date of the above instructions being issued by R1.
