ORDER

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 24(1), COTPA, 2003 and 123

of BNS in connection with the Crime No.250 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. A contraband worth of Rs.4,18,400/- illegally transported in Skoda rapid Car bearing Reg.No.TN-05 BB-7834 was intercepted on 11.08.2025. The occupants of the car on seeing the respondent police had got down from the said car and escaped, abandoned the contraband and vehicle. This petitioner is absconding and whereabouts are not known.

3. Considering the quantum of contraband seized from the car of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 25-08-2025 jd Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
