The petitioner is an accused in Crime No.708 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b) & 307 of IPC @ 294(b), 307 & 366(A) of IPC & Section 9 of Child Marriage Act, and Sections 5(l), 5(n), 5(j)(ii) r/w 6 of POCSO Act, 2012, seeks bail.

2. It had been stated that the victim child was at the time of occurrence 17 years and now she is 20 years. A female child had also been born to the victim and the petitioner. Thereafter, there had been a complaint given of harassment.

3. It is stated that the charge sheet had been filed and the same is pending trial in Spl.S.C.No.92 of 2023 before the Sessions Judge, Magalir Neethimandram, (FTMC), Tiruppur.

4. Let the evidence of the victim child be recorded and thereafter, there can be further consideration of bail application. At this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
