Petitioner seeks bail in C.C.No.186 of 2023, now pending before the learned Special Judge, I Additional Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under NDPS Act, Chennai. He had been taken into judicial custody on 26.08.2022. Charges have been framed under Sections 8 (c) r/w 20 (b) (ii) (C), 25 & 29(1) of NDPS Act. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in the case. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioner.
3.It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that trial is in progress in the said calendar case and the next date of hearing is on 19.10.2023 for examination of investigation officer. Thus, he prayed for dismissal of this petition.
4.Let trial be completed. At this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
