The petitioner/Accused No.1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Section 306 of IPC, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that the husband of the defacto complainant, had gone to help one Ranganathan for call of nature and then he dropped the said Ranganathan at his place. While coming back, the hands of the defacto complainant's husband had accidentally touched his grand daughter. Thereafter, the accused person had reached the house of the defacto complainant and verbally abused him in a filthy language. Out of humiliation, the husband of the defacto complainant had committed suicide. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that two of the accused had been granted bail and this Court had dismissed the Anticipatory bail application of some of the accused person in Crl OP No.23923 of 2023 by order dated 18.10.2023. The investigation is yet to be commenced in this case. The petitioner is a prime accused. 1/3

3. In view of the above fact, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. This Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
