The defendants have presented this application to condone the delay of 61 days in filing the written statement. In the affidavit in support of this application, it is stated that the written statement could not be filed in time on account of health issues. Learned counsel for the plaintiff opposes this application.

Consequently, the Registry is directed to receive the written statement. Learned counsel for the plaintiff seeks time to file an appropriate application for filing a reply statement.
