ORDER

It is brought to the notice of this Court that during the pendency of this petition, the marriage has been dissolved between the parties through mutual consent in HMOP. No.649 of 2018 by a decree dated 20.03.2019. In view of the same, nothing may survive in the Domestic Violence case.

2. Since this Court has already held that a petition under section 482 of Cr.P.C. is not maintainable against an application filed under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, this Court in exercise of its jurisdiction under Article 227 of Constitution of India hereby quashes the proceedings in DVC. No.21 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottriyur.

3. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
