Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Declaration declaring that the provisions of T.N. Govt Servants (Conditions of Service) Act 14, 2016, especially Sec. 1(2), Sec. 40(1) and Sec. 70 of the said Act and also the combined seniority list published by the third respondent in Proc. No.S2(2)/22009/2013 dated 12.01.2018 as unconstitutional, illegal, non-est, null and void ab initio and direct the respondents 1 to 4 to prepare a revised seniority list of the Assistant Engineer based on the marks/rank secured by the petitioners in the process of selection for appointment to the post of Assistant Engineer Combined Services for the year 1997-1999 and further direct the respondents to grant promotion to the petitioners as Executive Engineer based on the revised seniority list.
