This Criminal Original Petition is filed alleging that the police is harassing him under the guise of enquiry without committing any 1/4
offence. For statistical purpose, the 3rd respondent police is trying to register the case alleging that the petitioner is selling banned lottery tickets.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the FIR has been registered against this petitioner in Crime No.400 of 2024 dated 26.06.2024. He was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Later, he was released on bail on 02.07.2024 and the allegations that the petitioner is subjected to harassment is false.

Taking note of the fact that the petitioner/accused in Crime No.400 of 2024 on the file of the 3rd respondent and he has been arrested for selling lottery. The allegations made against the petitioner appears to be pre-emptive in nature. Hence this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
