ORDER

This Court, by an order dated 29.01.2019 in W.P.No.2492 of 2019 directed the sixth respondent therein to forward the petitioner's application to the first respondent therein for deletion of the proposed 100 feet road from the approved master plan in Thiruvallur Town. Thereafter, the first respondent was directed to consider the said application and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks. Since the order has not been complied with, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents submit that as per the direction issued by this Court, the sixth respondent in the writ petition has forwarded the application to the first respondent/Government. The first respondent/Government, after considering the proposal as per law under the Act, directed the Director, Town and Country Planning to pass orders on merits. Pursuant to the same, the Director of Town and Country Planning has passed an order rejecting the petitioner's request by an order dated 24.10.2019 and he has also produced a copy of the order.

In the above circumstances, since the order passed by this Court has been complied with and final order has been passed, this Contempt Petition is closed as no further adjudication is required in this petition. However, if the petitioner has any grievance in the order passed by the Director of Town and Country Planning, it is always open to him to challenge the same in the manner known to law.
