Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to cancel the permission granted to the 5th respondent and not to open FL2 Bar at Kurichi Puthu 1/5

For Petitioners : Mr.M.Karthik For Respondents 1 to 4 : Mr.P.Balathandayutham Special Government Pleader For Respondent-5 : Mr.T.Balaji Order This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the permission granted to the fifth respondent to open and run a Bar at the place (morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition) based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.07.2024.
2. Heard Mr.M.Karthik, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader for respondent Nos.1 to 4 and Mr.T.Balaji, learned counsel for the respondent No.5.
3. It is now represented by the learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4, on instructions that, as on date, no FL2 license has been granted to the respondent No.5 for running the Bar at their premises. 2/5

In view of the aforesaid submission, this Court is of the view that the apprehension of the petitioner, as raised in this Writ Petition is baseless and the relief sought for by the petitioner in his representation dated 29.07.2024 cannot be granted, since, no license has been issued to the respondent No.5 to run the Bar.

Thus, after recording the fact that till date, no license has been granted to the respondent No.5 to reopen and run the Bar at the premises morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition, this Writ Petition is closed. However, in case, in the near future, if license is granted to the respondent No.5 by the respondent Nos.1 to 4 for opening and running of the Bar, the petitioner is granted liberty to challenge the said license in the manner known to the petitioner under law. Similarly, the respondent No.5 is granted liberty to raise all objections if the petitioner has challenged license granted to the respondent No.5 in the near future by the Official respondents. The issue is left open and this Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, which is the subject matter of this Writ Petition.

6. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is closed, as already stated supra. No costs.
