Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent authorities 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2024 for grant of patta in respect of all that land measuring 12.5 Ares (31 cents) comprised in S.No.450/1A1A2A, Maduravoyal Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, previously Ambattur Taluk, Tiruvallur District, presently Chennai District within the limits of Greater Chennai Corporation, by collecting the amounts fixed by the 1st respondent under G.O.Ms.No.565/ULC-1 (Revenue Department) dated 29.06.2008 within a time to be stipulated. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the respondent authorities 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2024 for grant of patta in respect of all that land measuring 12.5 Ares (31 cents) comprised in S.No.450/1A1A2A, Maduravoyal Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, previously Ambattur Taluk, Tiruvallur District, presently Chennai District within the limits of Greater Chennai Corporation, by collecting the amounts fixed by the 1st respondent under G.O.Ms.No.565/ULC-1 (Revenue Department) dated 29.06.2008 Page No. 2 of 6

2. Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the Respondents.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the Respondents would submit that the Respondents are ready to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2024 in the lines of G.O.Ms.No.565 dated 26.09.2008 and if the Petitioner found to be eligible under the criteria contained therein, necessary instructions for payments of the sale consideration shall be issued within six (6) months time period.

5. Recording the same, Writ Petition is allowed by directing the Respondents to consider the representation of the Petitioner dated 03.04.2024 and conduct an enquiry within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. If the Petitioner is found eligible, the Respondents shall thereafter inform the Petitioner about the quantum of sale consideration to enable the Petitioner to make the payments and pass appropriate orders for grant of Patta. This exercise shall be concluded within a period of (4) weeks there from.

6. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
