PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 herein to give necessary Police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and to the petitioner's company and to the petitioner's company employees and consequently direct the respondents 2 to 4 to take action against the 5th respondent for disseminating false, misleading, and defamatory information about the petitioner's company on social media by considering the petitioner complaint dated 16.08.2024 as this Hon'ble Court deems fit.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 herein to give necessary Police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and to the petitioner's company and to the petitioner's company employees and consequently direct the respondents 2 to 4 to take action against the 5th respondent for disseminating false, misleading, and defamatory information about the

petitioner's company on social media by considering the petitioner complaint dated 16.08.2024 as this Hon'ble Court deems fit.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the fifth respondent. The respondents have filed their counter.

4. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though complaint was made to the respondents 1 to 4 on 16.08.2024 to take appropriate action as against the fifth respondent, the respondents have not taken any action so far. The main grievance of the petitioner is that neither notice was sent to the petitioner and nor opportunity was given to her.

5. The fourth respondent herein/the jurisdictional Station House Officer is directed to conduct enquiry after giving opportunity to both the the petitioner and the fifth respondent and pass orders in accordance with law.

6. With the abovesaid direction, this Writ petition is disposed. No costs.
