This Criminal Original Petition is filed alleging that the police is 1/4

interfering in the civil dispute between the petitioner and his brother and harassing him under the guise of enquiry.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that complaint and counter complaint registered in C.S.R.Nos.863 & 864 of 2024 and the presence of the petitioner is required for enquiry. If the petitioner appears for the enquiry, the respondent police will make necessary investigation and proceed. 3.

From the submissions, it appears that the dispute between the brothers has now been brought to the notice of the police and they are investigating the complaint and counter complaint. If it is purely a civil dispute, the respondent police shall direct the parties to work out the remedy before the civil Court. If any commission of cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police shall proceed in accordance with law. The petitioner shall cooperate with the enquiry and appear before the Investigating Officer on receipt of summon.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
