Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order dated 21.4.2017 in Na.Ka.12971/2015/A1 passed by the third respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to restore the original classification of "Uppupallam" in S.F.No.95/1A3, Alanthurai Village, Perur Taluk, Coimbatore District.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.C.R.Prasanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.U.Bharanidharan, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 5.

2. The petitioner is assailing the grant of pattas in favour of the private respondents.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader has placed on record the report of the Tahsilar, Perur, which states that pattas granted to 17 persons have been cancelled and the classification of the land is maintained.

4. In the light of that, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.23899 of 2017 is closed.
