ORDER

The petitioner challenges the order of the respondent refusing to grant permission to the petitioner to have fasting until death in the premises of the District Collector.

2. According to the petitioner, he wants to sit in hunger strike in support of the contract labourers working in TNEB.

3. When this Court pointed out that whether the petitioner is willing to sit on one day strike in a designated place, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is willing to sit in one day hunger strike in a designated place.

4. Such view of the matter, let the petitioner give a fresh representation in this regard and on such representation, the District Collector shall permit the petitioner to sit on one day strike in a designated

place. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions stand closed. 03.09.2025 dhk Index :Yes/No Internet:Yes/No To
