ORDER

The allegation in this case is that on 13.04.2019, without any proper approval from the election authorities, a LED board containing election campaign material was kept in the Tata ACE vehicle by the accused and as such a case was registered under Section 4AA(1a) of the Tamil Nadu Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 1959. It can be seen that the case is pending from the year 2019.

2. Considering the nature of allegations, continuing the case hereafter would impinge upon the right to speedy trial of the accused under Article 21 of the Constitution of India.

Accordingly, the proceedings in S.T.C.No. 217 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur shall stand quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands allowed. 20.08.2025 nsl electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
