ORDER
The allegation in this case is that the accused was found to be in possession of 10 bottles of liquor of 180 ml each. It is also alleged that he was indulged in selling the liquor bottles.
2. Considering the fact that the entire quantity is still less than the personal consumable limit and the fact that from the year 2018, summons itself has not been served, any further service of summons and continuation of the proceedings would impinge upon the right to speedy trial of the accused in the 1/3
context of the present allegations.
3. Hence, the proceedings in S.T.C.No. 900584 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No. II, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur shall stand quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands allowed.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
