O R D E R

The Criminal Revision challenges the order dated 05.08.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.No.10049 of 2025 in STC No.771 of 2025, by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Fast Track Court - II, Egmore, Allikulam, Chennai - 600 003.

2. Pending the revision, the parties have entered into a compromise, by which the respondent/complainant, had agreed to receive Rs.7,00,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Only) in full and final settlement of all his claims.

3. The petitioner is present. The respondent appeared through the video conference identified by his counsel is present.

4. The parties have filed a Joint Compromise Memo dated 26.02.2026, which states that the respondent has received the entire sum of Rs.7,00,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Only) in installments. It is also seen that at the instance of the petitioner, certain 2\5

third parties have made payments to the respondent and the petitioner has filed an affidavit stating that those payments were made to the respondent at his instance. The respondent confirms the fact that he has received the agreed amount of Rs.7,00,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Only) and he does not wish to pursue the case any longer.

In view of the compromise arrived at and since the offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act is compoundable, this Court is inclined to accept the Joint Compromise Memo dated 26.02.2026 and set aside the order dated 05.08.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.No.10049 of 2025 in STC No.771 of 2025 by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Fast Track Court - II, Egmore, Allikullam, Chennai - 600 003.

6. Accordingly, the Joint Compromise Memo dated 26.02.2026 is taken on file. The Criminal Revision Case is allowed in terms of the Joint Compromise Memo dated 26.02.2026 and consequently, the Trial Court is directed to stop the proceedings in S.T.C.No.771 of 2025 as settled out of Court. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
