The Civil Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking a direction to Mediation Centre, Pondicherry to appoint a surveyor from the concerned Taluk Office to assist the parties in settling the issue through mediation.

2. The Mediation Centre cannot be termed as a Court. Therefore, they cannot be directed to appoint a Surveyor to assist the parties in settling the issue through mediation. If the parties to the mediation wants they can engage a private Surveyor to survey the property and to settle the matter before the Mediation Centre.
