O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner/complainant to direct the Trial Court namely the Fast Track Court No.4 at George Town Chennai, to dispose of C.C.No.1033 of 2017 within a period of three months.

2. The petitioner party-in-person has submitted that he has filed a private complaint against the respondent herein for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Based on the same, the learned Fast Track Judge No.4, George Town, Chennai, has taken the case on file in C.C.No.1033 of 2017 and issued summons to the respondents herein. He further submitted that the respondents herein also after receipt of the summons appeared before the trial court, but, for the past three years, no progress has not been made in the said case. Therefore, he requests to direct the trial court judge to dispose of the case within three months.

3. Considering the fact that, the aforesaid case is pending for the past three years, the learned Fast Track Judge No.4, George Town, Chennai is directed to dispose of the case within four months from the date of lifting of lockdown and normal functioning of the Courts.

4. With the aforesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
