The petitioner herein was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.07.2025 in connection with a complaint alleging that he had threatened the defacto complainant with dire consequences, for which her husband gave 1/3
evidence against him in a criminal case pending before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Mettur. Further, it is also alleged that this petitioner has outraged the modesty of the defacto complainant. He threw stones at the house of the defacto complainant to intimidate her and her husband.
2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
3. Considering the nature of the complaint, the conduct of the petitioner and the fact that investigation in this case was completed and final report filed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
4. In view of the fact, that this petitioner has predominantly intimidated the witness, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 22.08.2025 drl To 1.The Inspector of Police, Nangavalli Police Station, Salem District.
